Tauren Wells recorded his first live album in front of a sold-out crowd at Austin City Limits Moody Theater. Known more as a CCM artist, he wanted these songs to reach the church too. He had also just started Church of Whitestone.

An atmosphere for the songs to breathe, and the lyrics to shine.

Overview

Tauren wanted a worship night, not a typical album taping. He wanted these songs to reach the church, not only the CCM world. That is why the record is called Here Comes The Church.

He brought other artists in to carry the night with him. Legendary collabs in one room, recorded live at ACL Moody Theater.

Vertical designed the production so the songs could breathe and the lyrics could shine. Custom drape with LED behind it, so text and lyrics read through the fabric.

We went through multiple design revisions and landed on a simple, clean look so the moment stayed in front.

On site we handled setup, production management, and show execution. The room had to work for the people in it and for the recording.

The result was an atmosphere built for the church to sing. Design, lighting, and the custom LED drape created a space that supported the music and let the lyrics shine.
