The brief
Tasha Cobbs Leonard recorded Tasha Unscripted (Live) in front of a full house in Atlanta. Vertical Productions brought in production rentals, lighting programming and screen visuals, and built the night around the church's own rig rather than replacing it.

[ The journey ]
Lit for the camera. No haze required.
Approach
The church already had a capable lighting rig. The job was not to replace it but to finish it. We added a floor package that complemented the house system and gave the stage the depth, layers and low angles a live album recording needs.
Tasha prefers to perform without haze. Most stage looks lean on haze to make beams visible. Here, every look had to read on camera without it.
What we delivered
We built the looks from contrast and placement instead: floor and side light to shape the band and singers, backlight to separate them from the set, and a disciplined balance between stage and room so every camera angle held depth.
Programming and visuals were built as one system, so the screens and the lighting moved together through each song.
The result reads clean and confident on the recording, with rich colour and real dimension, and nothing in the air between the artist and the lens.
